Fashion Friday December is Here!

Hi friends! Happy Friday! December is here, and its a beautiful day in Michigan! I hope the same sun that is shining on me right now is shining on you too!

Do you have your tree up? That is still ahead of me on my agenda, but I am sure looking forward to it!

And Its Fashion Friday! One of my favorite things in the world! So lets get started!

This week I got a package in the mail!!! I just love getting packages! And this one is from a company called “Fab Fit Fun”! Don’t you love that name? When I was in New York City a few weeks ago with Hannah, we were discussing the different subscription boxes we have tried, and she told me how much she loves “Fab Fit Fun” and right then and there I signed up!

Fab Fit Fun is a seasonal box that comes out 4 times a year for $49.99. But the box contents will retail for at least $200. It contains full size products with everything from fashion, beauty, fitness, health and fun! What more could you want? Its like your birthday but 4 times a year!  So lets take a look at my first ever Fab Fit Fun box!

Look at this beautiful box that arrived this week! Even the box is pretty! Open! Open! Open!

Et Voila! Beautiful surprises! And a fantastic newsletter with great info, ideas and a detailed description of the items in the box and what they retail for.

Notice below what it says is the total value of my box this time? $373-$393… all for $49.99!

Lets look at the items.

  • Ahava Mineral Hand Cream:  5.1 oz size – mineral rich hand cream retails at $33
  • Choker Necklace in Rose Gold, sparkling, delicate and gorgeous- retails at $58
  • Deep Sleep Pillow Spray: Spritz on your pillow, blend of lavender, vetivert and chamomile- retails at $29
  • Pointe Studio Aloe Infused Socks- super soft and cozy- Maybe my Christmas morning socks! retail $19
  • Kate Somerville ExfoliKate- I tried this yesterday- it left my skin so bright and refreshed! Retails at $75

  • Doucce Eye Shadow Pro Palette: Those individual shadows and highlighter are in removable magnetic containers! Retail- $70
  • Ceramic Mug designed by Ayesha Curry- Oversized and fun! (Oversized Mugs are just my size!) Retail- $16
  • BB Dakota Poncho… its reversible, friends! Mine is black and gray! I tried it on for you below- perfect for taking the chill off!

So cute! Now I understand that some items may come in various colors, so for instance, the poncho came in 3 different colors, you don’t know what you will get, but I love the one I got! The mug also came in 3 different designs, the socks in 3 different colors, and the eye shadow palette in 2 different tones.

Honestly I was thoroughly impressed! And at a rate of 4 times a year, its just a nice little surprise that helps you explore some new products!

If you would like to give Fab Fit Fun a try, you can access them at FabFitFun.com and click the tab that says “Get The Box”.

Ok, now to this week’s fashion finds. I am loving the styles this year! First I have this ultra soft navy hooded cardigan by Barefoot Dreams.

Ok, friends… this Barefoot Dreams line is absolutely luscious! Its a little spendy, but it would make a great gift for yourself or someone else!

I just can’t let this one go! Its too soft! Its too comfy!  You can also see I am carrying the Chelsea28 Embellished Handbag and its on sale 50% off!!!

Its my dream sweater! If its a crime to have a dream sweater, I am guilty as charged! Lock me up and throw away the key but the sweater stays with me!

Next we are totally switching gears to something a little blingy for the holidays! A Vince Camuto Sequin Front Top!

The front is dazzling with sequins, and the back is a draping gray fabric.

Someone is coming in the front door… Kasey is ready if needed. Don’t worry, its my son Jake!

This top is very comfortable and would look great with nice slacks, a black skirt or nice denim! A fun piece to have for festive occasions!  I wore it with the Edni Wrap Bracelet from Stella & Dot which can also be a choker.

One of the dazzling side effects of wearing sequins is that they reflect light everywhere, even on your face! Kasey has her own opinion but is keeping it to herself. Thank you, Darling!

At this point, my son was opening cheese slices in the kitchen… Kasey knows that sound very well!

Its a fun top, to be sure! Next is this Chevron Quilted Packable  red coat by Michael Kors (I love this one!)

It has such a cute shape, and gold tone hardware.

And its on sale! 50% off! Ka-Ching!

And a stow-away hood too! The collar stands up to protect against wind! Love it!  And the fabric feels like buttah! Super silky! I know the color is super bright but its just so happy! I think I’m getting happy through osmosis!

And finally we have a long black cardigan by Halogen from Nordstrom.

This sweater is sold out in the black but is still available in Heather Dark Grey at 33% off! And here is another one currently available in many colors, very similar to the one I am wearing, with the textured open front. And yet here is one more with a lovely feminine cut (I may have to investigate this one more closely!)

Honestly when I searched for long black cardigans on the Nordstrom site there were 294 choices. Its such a classic piece to have, you just feel well put together wearing it.

My bag is my current new favorite by Ted Baker, and it sold out! Shazam! It was brand new! But they also make the same design in a little bit larger tote. Honestly I am kind of hooked on the Ted Baker bags right now!

He makes these adorable iconic tote bags full of personality and fun! Check out the current selection at Nordstrom of Ted Baker bags here    `

And I am so excited to announce that I am going to be adding a Special Weekend Edition for the month of December! Beginning this weekend, I will be adding a special weekend post with all sorts of interesting and helpful topics going to experts to share their wisdom, tips and ideas! Tomorrow will be my first one, and I am interviewing Health and Wellness Coach Kelly Stott and she is sharing ideas of how we can take the stress out of Christmas and really enjoy the holidays!  Boy I can use some of that!

That post will be out tomorrow morning! I hope you will check it out and share it with your friends!

Finally, I wanted to share with you a little bit of encouragement about stepping outside of your comfort zone. I’m doing this more and more these days, and in the words of my son Jake, its a little bit of a mix of excitement and fear. I sometimes feel like I landed on the moon and am taking that first step, and I don’t know if I am going to trip and fall on my face or if its going to really take me forward! But you know what? Its positively exhilarating to get out there and try! And we know we aren’t going anywhere if we don’t take that first step, right?

So what is it you are dreaming about trying but haven’t taken that first step? Your own business? Maybe going back to school? Or writing that book? Or getting back on skis or getting back in shape? Or becoming an artist? Maybe its getting out there and making new friends and allowing yourself to really live? Whatever it is, I know there is a little bit of fear involved, but just like when we were learning to ride our bikes, we fall down but we get back up again and pretty soon we are flying!

Remember, no expiration date on our dreams! Its really breathtaking when you think about it!

Lets do this, my friend! We got this!

Don’t forget I will be back with a Special Weekend Editiion tomorrow! And of course next Tuesday for another Tasty Tuesday!

Love Always,

Amy
