Tasty Tuesday and A Deliciously Easy Cherry Crumble

Happy Valentine’s Day! Its another Tasty Tuesday and my oh my do I have a game changer recipe for you today! This recipe is so easy and so delicious, you won’t believe it! And it really blesses me to get to share it with you just in time for Valentine’s Day!

But before we begin, I want to thank my dear friend Maribeth for these incredible photos! She is so talented and creative, and just such a good friend! When we talk about ideas for recipes and presenting them, we mesh so beautifully. I have such respect for her gift of photography, and such appreciation for her friendship! If you would like to see more of Maribeth’s work, or for an inquiry, you can contact her at Maribeth Schmidt Photography.

And now without further ado, lets begin!

Ingredients:

  • 1 Yellow Cake Mix
  • 1 Stick of Butter Melted
  • 2 Cans of Fruit Pie Filling

Preheat the oven to 350°

Ok, so did you see that list of ingredients? Just 3 different ingredients! You’re probably wondering, “What’s the catch?” No catch, my friend… its just that easy and just that good!

Take a 9 x 13 pan, open the 2 cans of fruit pie filling. I used cherries, but you could do apple, or peach or whatever canned pie filling you would like to try. Pour the pie filling into the pan.

Take a spoon, and spread the fruit evenly in the 9 x 13 pan.

So far pretty easy, right? Ok, open up your cake mix. Sprinkle the dry cake mix over the pie filling.

Keep going, use it all, spread it evenly over the pie filling.

Melt a stick of butter, and drizzle it over the cake mix crumbs slowly and intentionally trying to reach as much of the crumbs as possible.

Now at this point I pick up the pan and gently tip slightly to the right and left, and that helps spread the melted butter over as much of the dry cake mix as possible. And now its ready to go in the oven! Bake it maybe 45-50 minutes. At this point, your house is going to smell absolutely heavenly! The cherry filling bubbles right into the crumb topping making pockets of aromatic bliss!

Out it comes… but its piping hot! Let it cool a little bit. And then serve it up!

Oh that looks good!

Oh my stars! Friend, it tastes so good, my brother says “Its unbelievable!” But, its not finger food… you are going to need a fork!

Its perfect! Well, almost perfect… what it really is just begging for is a scoop of vanilla ice cream to go on top of that crumbly crisp and warm cherry goodness!

That Ice cream is gonna melt! We’ve got work to do! One bite, and that is all it takes, and you’re hooked!

Friends, this is so easy and so delicious! And these are ingredients you can keep on your shelf at all times for those moments when unexpected guests arrive, or you want delicious fresh baked goods without any hassle! One pan, 3 ingredients… and its absolutely luscious! I have tried this with apple pie filling… Fantastic! My sister tried it with peach pie filling… Exquisite! Its rich, its buttery, its decadent, my son says its an ace in the hole! You can’t lose! Once in awhile something amazing comes along… and here it is!

I am so happy to be able to share this with you so you can dazzle your friends and family with very little effort! I wish I had a hundred recipes this easy and delicious! Three little ingredients come together to make something totally amazing! Just in time for Valentine’s Day!

Valentine’s Day is a time we think of love. Ok, not just the mooshy smooshy kind, but the kind of love every human craves from the moment we are born. Love is such a gift to humanity! Can you imagine life without it? Its the cherry crumble of life ala mode!

Sometimes there is a fearful side of us that doesn’t want to be hurt or to be taken advantage of, and it can scare us off from stepping out there in love and kindness. That happens to me sometimes. But if we can reach a place in life where we simply live by a code of loving others without fear, every human our eyes come in contact with is a person we have room in our heart for, and it can be absolutely liberating!

Will it be reciprocated? Sometimes yes, sometimes no. We are not responsible for others reactions, we can simply live and walk and breathe a code of love and kindness. That can be as simple as a smile in the parking lot, or a listening ear for that person at work who is really struggling, or making a call to say hi to someone that you know is alone alot, or inviting someone over for coffee and a delicious dish of hot cherry crumble with ice cream! (I just made a batch tonight! Come on over!)

I hope you have a fantastic week! And I hope you know how much you are loved! I love these moments we get to spend together! Happy Valentine’s Day, my friend!

Love Always,

Amy
