I will have more gift ideas as we get closer to Christmas, but wanted to get some out there for you if you are stumped!

That is all I have to share this week. I will be keeping my eye on the sales and sharing more as I discover it. To stay up to date, be sure to follow me on Instagram @yourfavoritechapter and on my Facebook page. And if you subscribe at the link at the top tab, you will be sure to receive it right in your email box.

Now as the rush of the holiday season kicks off, I wanted to encourage you to form a list of goals you have for this season. Maybe this year you want to be sure to get in touch with every aunt, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. What a great goal that would be! Maybe it’s trying to stay within a certain budget. That is so wise! Maybe it’s to have a “simple” holiday season, stepping back from the very long list of traditions you have accrued and commitments and just starting with a clean slate. That sounds nice too, doesn’t it? Maybe it’s to not let the tempting foods of the season blow your diet or your health right out of the water. Maybe its to focus on your faith, or to do acts of kindness for the month as a way to focus on others, especially those who are hurting. Maybe it’s to unplug for the season, and just be in the present with your family. It’s worth sitting down and thinking it through.

Once you have a clear picture of what it is, your goal, it is so refreshing! I laugh because how many times I walk in a room and can’t remember what I was going in there for. Well the same can be true with the holidays. It would be nice to have a goal of what really matters to you this holiday season. That list may only have one item on it. And that would be awesome if you began to “steer the ship” in the direction you want it to go! It’s really pretty empowering when we think things through.

I’ll be back Tuesday for another Tasty Tuesday!

Love Always,

Amy

  1. Love your list of goodies, Amy! Especially that salt block for cooking!

And so true…for me it’s about relaxing and enjoying time with family. I can’t get to caught up in all the old traditions at this point in my life.
