Tasty Tuesday – Red, White and Blue Treats

Hi Friends! I’m sharing some treats with some patriotic colors to help celebrate the 4th of July!

It’s always fun to celebrate our country’s birthday with red, white and blue, and these recipes all play off of that theme! And they are delicious and fun! Of course you can enjoy them any time of year, but I collected these recipes that I have made before in one place just for you!

Special thanks to my friend Maribeth Schmidt who helped me with these photos over the years since beginning my blog. Maribeth loves doing food photography and loves our country so she had so much fun doing the photography for these shots. And she is absolutely amazing and so talented! Thank you, Maribeth!

So we have 4 tasty easy recipes I will highlight below and link to where you can find the recipes. These recipes showcase the berries that are so plentiful in season right now.

First, lets start with this delicious, healthy and oh so easy Red, White and Blue Yogurt Parfait!

Note, this recipe was paired up with a fashion post, so if you see clothes, just scroll to the bottom, the recipe is there.

These are so easy and so fun! You can set up a patriotic yogurt bar and let your guests go to town!

Friends, this is so easy and I would be the first person in line for these babies!

Layering granola, vanilla yogurt, and strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and blueberries is such a fun and healthy way to celebrate the Red, White and Blue!

Isn’t she lovely?

Next we have red, white and blue smoothies! Yum!

Who wouldn’t love one of these beauties on a hot 4th of July?

Yes Please!!!

And at the same link, is the recipe for some really fun strawberry shortcakes!

Ok, I am totally drooling on the keyboard right now!

You can see we used cute little mason jars for this dessert.

And finally, probably my favorite dessert for this holiday is Fruit Pizza!

This dessert starts with a sugar cookie crust, and then the most delicious vanilla pudding cheesecake layer, topped with whipped cream and then crowned with glorious berries!

It’s made on a cookie sheet, and presents a glorious dessert that you and your guests will be sharing. A little slice of heaven!

This is such a hit, I have brought it many times! It’s fun for Christmas as well.

I hope these desserts inspire you as you plan your July 4 Independence Day Festivities! You can certainly tweak them and create your own great ideas, use these as a springboard to something fantastic!

Most of all, I hope you have fun! It’s our country’s birthday! Fun is the most important ingredient, whether you cook or let someone else do the cooking! So if that means you take a long bike ride or go to a park and play outside and cook hotdogs on the grill, or go to the beach and then your favorite ice cream parlor, whatever brings you joy, I hope you have a truly wonderful 4th of July!

Have a fantastic week!

Happy Birthday, America!

Love Always,

Amy

This land is your land, this land is my land,
From the California to the New York island
From the Redwood Forest, to the gulf stream waters
This land was made for you and me.
