Hi there! I have some really fresh and healthy choices for your holiday parties this year.
A light and fresh avocado yogurt dip, and a fruit yogurt dip! Both super easy and will give a great option for your guests who are looking for a healthy option at the party table!
So without further ado, lets begin!
First up, Avocado Greek Yogurt Dip
Ingredients:
- 2 medium sized ripe avocados
- 2 cups plain Greek yogurt
- 1 envelope packet Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Dip Ranch flavor
- 1/2 lime juice
Cut your avocados in half.
Gently squeeze the avocado pinching the fruit inside to come out into a bowl.
Using a masher, mash the avocado until soft and creamy.
It should look like this.
Add in your Greek yogurt, packet of Hidden Valley Greek Yogurt Ranch Dip mix, and juice of half a lime.
Stir until well mixed.
Voila! Dip # 1 is ready!
Notice here, I took some black olive pieces and a cut end of a baby carrot and made a snowman face on a ranch dip. Just a cute way to bring whimsy to your party table.
Here I put lite ranch dressing in the bottom of punch cups and added some finger food veggies. What I love about this is you take it and go. You are all set and can walk away leaving temptation behind with your healthy veggies and dip!
Here I cleaned out a pepper and put the dip in it. Another cute way to serve dip!
Ok, now for Dip #2, a Strawberry Yogurt Fruit Dip!
Ingredients:
- 1 8oz container Cool Whip
- 2 1/2 cups of Strawberry Yogurt
Notice I used “Lite” Cool Whip and Yogurt. Not necessary, but I am watching calories and sugar, and it really does taste great.
Just put both ingredients in a bowl and fold together with a spatula.
If you look below, you will see I put some in a little bowl for dipping, and added a raspberry o top for decor. I also created cups for dipping with mini kabobs, as well as larger kabobs.
I have to say this fruit dip is absolutely divine! Jake says it’s really smooth!
Seeing such great healthy options on the table makes eating healthy so easy!
These are super easy options to add to your holiday table, and they are lavishly beautiful and delicious! You can still have the decadent goodies if you like, but how considerate and hospitable it is to also offer fruits and veggies for those guests who are trying to select healthier options!
When we host gatherings over the holidays, it’s part of the privilege of showering our guests in hospitality. Having a variety of options means everyone feels included and welcome to partake in the party food. I have battled with my weight and sometimes if you are on a roll maintaining a healthy lifestyle, a few holiday parties can really set you back.
But with food this pretty and this tasty, you don’t feel like you are missing anything! Instead, you feel like you are living it up eating absolutely delicious treats, but its relatively guilt free! Grabbing one of those fruit cups and or veggie cups, I have a significant amount of really good food in my hands, and I can stay away from the pies and cakes and cookies because of the really nice healthy options.
What are your favorite healthy options to offer at your parties?
I hope you have a fantastic week! I’ll be back Friday for another Fashion Friday!
Love Always,
Amy
And suddenly you just know it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings. ~unknown
