Tasty Tuesday and Strawberry Orange Smoothies

Hi Friends! I hope you are having a fantastic summer!

As we close out July, I wanted to share a really lovely refreshing recipe that is oh so sweet and good for you, too! Strawberry Orange Smoothies! The orange just gives it a nice zip. My husband says it gives the strawberry smoothie a brighter taste. The pitcher was wiped out in no time!

So without further ado, let’s begin! Look at this easy list of ingredients!

Ingredients:

  • Frozen Strawberries (enough to fill blender 2/3 full)
  • 4 frozen orange juice ice cubes
  • 1/2 c Orange Juice
  • 1 1/2  c Almond Milk
  • 2 Tbsp Agave Syrup
  • Strawberries and Oranges for Garnish

Earlier in the day, I pour orange juice into an ice tray and freeze them. This is not necessary, but I like the frozen effect of the orange juice in the smoothie. But you could also simply add liquid orange juice. I only use 4 of the orange juice cubes. We just enjoy the others as a frosty treat.

Add your 4 frozen orange juice cubes to your blender.

Add the frozen strawberries

Add in the almond milk, the agave syrup and the orange juice.

Blend and if necessary, stir/push down the strawberries intermittently. If you like your smoothies a little thinner, you can add a little more almond milk and/or orange juice to thin it out.

And voila! You are ready to serve it up! If you have a pretty glass, now is a great time to use it!

Look at that pretty color! Such a deep pinkish red!

I garnished with some sliced fruit on top.

And I had fun with some straws striped red like an old fashioned fountain straw.

One for Papa Bear, and one for Mama Bear!

And of course one for Baby Bear!

There is just something so luscious about this smoothie!

My son Jake drank his down in record time.

Troy took his time, (so as not to get brain freeze!)

This treat is like a lovely reward after a long day. It feels like it is reviving you as you drink it. It’s pretty and delicious! And it is actually good for you! What a gift! The trifecta!

Tomorrow I have a long journey I have to take, I am going for some training, and it will be a 3 hour drive. But I am honestly so excited about learning something new! I have so many things I want to learn and to do! I am definitely a life long student. And I find it so invigorating!

Do you ever feel that way? It is exciting to invest in yourself! I think we were meant to learn our whole lives! We were created with these dreams and interests. And it seems the more we know, the more we realize we’ve barely scratched the surface in what we understand! I think learning new things is such a blessing! I am grateful for the many things I have learned from  people in my life. I learn from young and old, quiet and bold, and everything in between. That is a beautiful thing, isn’t it?

I hope you have a wonderful week! I’ll be back Friday for another Fashion Friday.

Love Always,

Amy
