Happy Friyay! I’m so excited the weekend is finally here! Oh my goodness we are now less than two weeks from Thanksgiving! How exciting! I love it when family and friends gather and we celebrate and enjoy a delicious meal together! And then its the race to Christmas! With decorating and shopping and concerts and parties, oh what fun!
So if you’ve been out in the stores, you are seeing velvet just about everywhere, in jackets, and pants, and tops, and shoes… in all sorts of colors, but the two topping the list seem to be the blush pink and dark blue… velvet is having a moment!
Many stores are now decked out for Christmas, and there is definitely a feeling of celebration in the styles. I am seeing lots of glittery sparkly tops and dresses that are simply dazzling! And sweaters and cardigans are everywhere! In kitten soft fabrics and soft pastels and deep jewel tones! And denim is having a moment too! With denim jackets in all colors and some blinged up or distressed… and camo! I’m seeing camo in sweaters, jackets, jeans, yesterday I saw sparkly camo sneakers!
And the sales are everywhere!

I can’t believe we are to the point of clearance on fall things! But time marches on, so does fashion and lets march right along with them!
So this week I have some casual pieces to share, starting with a super cozy Chenille Funnel Neck Sweater from BP at Nordstrom!
Its at a great price point of only $49!
I’m wearing the Dalilah necklace from Stella & Dot, a really fun necklace for sweaters that are an open canvas!
Next is a super soft plum cardigan from Nordstrom. My mom and I both have this same sweater! (It looks gorgeous on her- I will try and get a picture!)
I’m wearing my trusty Double Horn Pendant from Stella & Dot (seriously such a great addition to your collection, works with so many tops!)
I’m not sure what Kasey thinks of it, penny for her thoughts!
Next I have a red cardigan reporting for duty, ready to send some cheer in as we greet the holidays!
Halogen has some amazing cardigans this year, and this one comes in a host of colors! Here is another one, from Macy’s for $24.99!
I love this little crossbody bag, its a TopShop piece from Nordstrom and it flew off the shelf when they put it on sale… it arrived at my house about 4 days ago… and this color is already sold out! But its still available in black (super cute!)
My necklace is a layering necklace from Stella & Dot called the Riad. I’ve used it so many times, its a really flexible necklace in that you can use the layers separately or all together.
I don’t know if you can see it, but I also have on a gold link bracelet which is a bit larger and has some slight sparkle inserted in various links. Really a lovely piece with a toggle closure.
If you are wondering what has Kasey’s attention, Jake is in the kitchen fixing a snack… she just heard a cheese wrapper!
This next sweater, a Topshop was from the Nordstrom sale, and it literally flew off the shelf… I think it was gone in less than 24 hours…
So how did I get it? Well the lady at the Nordstrom counter ordered it for me, she told me it would be awhile before it came because they sold every single one! But it did eventually come! And I think it is so fun!
It ran huge, I am wearing a 6 and it still feels big on me (I’m usually an 8 or 10)
I had another statement cardigan in last week’s post and here is another one you might like.
And finally, I wanted to encourage you today to make intentional plans to do something which delights you this weekend. Something Fun! Now for each of us that may be defined totally differently and I love that about us! But you need to include that for yourself, it is so important. I know things can be pretty challenging and life sometimes deals us some totally unexpected and undesired circumstances. We navigate the best we can and try to get back on track. But even amidst all of that, you need to take a little break from it all and simply do something that brings you joy! It makes you stronger and builds your confidence for sorting through the ups and downs in life, it tends to put things in perspective. So put it on the top of your priority list! Make a plan! Or just zip out there and make it happen! Those memories fuel the soul and brighten your life like lights on a Christmas tree! I’m living one of those moments right now, this weekend! More details to come next Friday! But truly, you are so precious, so worth investing in, and I hope you will put some plans in action for something fun asap!
I’ll be back next Tuesday for another Tasty Tuesday!
Love Always,
Amy

Thank you, Jodie! It’s Super soft!
I like the idea of intentionally planning to do something that makes me joyful. We get so caught up in getting through each day and doing what is expected of us that we forget to let go and have fun! Thank you for this important reminder.
The same thing happens to me too… making a plan seems to help me, and the planning really is fun!
